Field Trip Policies & FAQ

Payment Policy

Full payment or a purchase order is due 30 days before your performance date.  You are financially responsible for the payment of your reserved tickets. We do not automatically cancel unpaid reservations, however, if we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to offer your seats to another classroom on our waitlist. If you are paying with purchase order or other arrangement, please see our payment information page All Student Matinee sales are final. Paid tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Tickets cannot be resold or given to anyone outside of your organization and cannot be resold for profit.

Confirmation Policy

We understand that needs change and that the tickets booked at the time of reservation may change over time. That said, we require final confirmation of your tickets four weeks prior to your scheduled reservation. If you do not request a change to your order, we assume that your reservation is complete and you will be invoiced for the tickets requested.

Cancellation Policy

The deadline for canceling your performance is 30 days before your scheduled performance. At this time tickets, if available, can be added to your reservation. If you need to cancel your performance or add tickets to your reservation, please contact our School Shows Coordinator at schoolshows@sct.org.

Refund Policy

SCT does not provide refunds or exchanges for unused tickets, and does not provide refunds or vouchers for anyone absent on the day of performance. Refunds will be issued only if SCT cancels a performance. Groups will be notified via email no later than 7:00am on the morning of your field trip if the performance has been canceled.

Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Policy

Patrons who require a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to accompany them to attend a performance can receive a ticket for complimentary admittance for the PCA. The PCA ticket can be coordinated directly through an SCT representative. Please contact the Box Office at tickets@sct.org or call  206.441.3322. SCT will do our best to seat the PCA as close to the patron as possible during the performance depending on availability.

Can I bring food and drinks?

Food and drinks are not allowed in the Theatre, and we encourage you to grab a snack before arriving at SCT. Upon arrival, each school will have a designated spot in our lobby to place to stash personal belongings, including snacks and lunches that can be enjoyed after the performance.

May I take photos and video?

Photography and videography of any kind are not allowed in our Theatre, as it is a violation of federal law to take pictures of the actors or stage. Please feel free to take field trip photos in our lobby or outside, but all cameras and recording devices must be put away before entering the theatre.

Will there be a talk back?

While we will not offer Talk Backs during our 24-25 Season, we invite you to write and mail letters to SCT! We will be happy to answer questions for your class and share your letters with the production’s creative team.
