How does Seattle Children’s Theatre protect your personal information?
This website takes every precaution to protect our patrons' information. When patrons submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with industry standard encryption: SSL . There are some visual clues to inform you that your session is secured: a padlock icon may appear in the address bar, the URL prefix will change from “HTTP” to “HTTPS” or you may see a trust seal that indicates that communication between the user and the site is encrypted and secure. To learn more about SSL, follow this link http://www.verisign.com/en_US/website-presence/website-optimization/ssl-certificates/index.xhtml?loc=en_US
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
