Plan a Field Trip to Seattle Children’s Theatre
A field trip to Seattle Children’s Theatre is more than just a performance—it’s a powerful learning experience for young audiences. Designed specifically for preschool through middle school students, our weekday student matinees bring imaginative, age-appropriate stories to life onstage.
SCT welcomes schools, Montessori programs, preschools, and daycares from across the region to experience live theatre that sparks creativity, builds empathy, and inspires discovery.
Booking is simple for groups of 10 or more—just submit your request form. Smaller groups? Give us a call or email, and we’ll help get you set up. Homeschool families can find their dedicated options on our Homeschool Field Trips page.
Together, we’ll spark something unforgettable.

Field Trip FAQs
Full payment or a purchase order is due 30 days before your performance date. You are financially responsible for the payment of your reserved tickets. We do not automatically cancel unpaid reservations, however, if we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to offer your seats to another classroom on our waitlist. If you are paying with purchase order or other arrangement, please see our payment information page. All Student Matinee sales are final. Paid tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Tickets cannot be resold or given to anyone outside of your organization and cannot be resold for profit.
If you do NOT receive a confirmation within two weeks of placing your request, please contact our Sales Coordinator at schoolshows@sct.org to confirm that we’ve received your reservation request.
We understand that plans can change. Final confirmation of your ticket numbers is required four weeks (30 days) before your scheduled performance. If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume your reservation is accurate and will invoice you accordingly.
If you need to cancel your performance or add tickets, you must do so by this 30-day deadline. After that point, changes may not be possible. To make adjustments, please contact our Sales Coordinator at schoolshows@sct.org.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your performance start time. You can find the performance start time on your invoice. We ask that one teacher checks in with an SCT staff member when you arrive. When you check-in, please ask your entire group to follow our instructions so that we can get you seated as quickly and efficiently as possible. Any late-comers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.
Please note: every group has pre-assigned seating; please wait to be seated by an usher. Seats are assigned based on the age of the students attending and with any special needs taken into consideration. If your group has wheelchairs or special needs, please notify our team at least one week prior to your performance date by contacting our Sales Coordinator at schoolshows@sct.org.
While we are not currently offering Talk Backs for our School Shows, we invite you to write and mail letters to SCT! We will be happy to answer questions for your class and share your letters with the production’s creative team.

Patrons who require a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to accompany them to attend a performance can receive a ticket for complimentary admittance for the PCA. The PCA ticket can be coordinated directly through an SCT representative. Please contact our Sales Coordinator at schoolschows@sct.org or call 206.443.0807 x 10285 .
