With each show in our season, we offer performances timed and priced specifically for homeschool families. Homeschool Days at SCT are a great opportunity to connect with the greater Seattle homeschool community and supplement your curriculum.

A Tale of Peter Rabbit

Beatrix Potter’s timeless tale of Peter Rabbit is given a modern twist by award-winning writer Trista Baldwin. What does it mean to be a good bunny? If everyone thinks you’re a bad bunny, can you ever be good? In this moving and adventurous reimagining of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale, Peter Rabbit and his three sisters come together to tell a story of their very own.

Dog Man: The Musical

Dog Man: The Musical is based on the worldwide bestselling series from Dav Pilkey, the creator of Captain Underpants and Cat Kid Comic Club 

Best buds George and Harold have been creating comics for years, but now that they’re in 5th grade, they figure it’s time to level up and write a musical based on their favorite character, Dog Man, the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man, and ALL HERO!! How hard could it be?

Goodnight Moon

Homeschool PERFORMANCES | FOR AGES 3+

Goodnight Moon has been cherished by generations for over 40 years, and SCT’s lively musical production has been popular all over the country since the world premiere in 2007. Now we’re bringing this signature piece home again so a new group of children and families can enjoy the surprise and delight of Bunny’s imaginative detours on the way to dreamland.  In this intimate production, everyone will revel with Bunny in the fun of jumping cows, dancing bears, and a room that springs to life. Goodnight Moon is a truly timeless theatre experience the whole family can enjoy.

A Very Electric Christmas

Content Warning: This show includes strobes, flashing lights, and is performed in a darkened theatre. This production also contains mild allusions to violence, including a scene in which candy canes are used to mimic guns.

This electrified tale follows the journey of a young bird named Max and his family as they embark on their migration south for the winter. When a gust of wind blows Max off course, he finds himself in a wondrous and unfamiliar world at the North Pole. Follow Max's adventures as he encounters dancing toy soldiers, caroling worms, and performing poinsettias, all while trying to find his way back to his family. A soundtrack of timeless holiday hits from Nat King Cole, Mariah Carey, and Tchaikovsky, accompanies this magical and captivating tale of family, friendship, and hope.

Luchadora!

Homeschool PERFORMANCES | FOR AGES 8+

Transport yourself to the world of lucha libre—Mexican wrestling, with this inspired adaptation of the Chinese legend Hua Mulan. The discovery of a worn pink wrestling mask prompts Nana Lupita, a Washington grandmother, to share her coming of age story growing up in 1960s Texas.
