Drama school Auditions

We offer placement auditions for students interested in advanced classes but who have not completed the prerequisites. Each audition is 5-7 minutes long. At the audition, students will be asked to demonstrate the skills appropriate to the class:
- Acting 2, Acting 3, ATI: Present a monologue one-minute long.
- Theatre for Social Change: Present a memorized monologue and partake in a brief interview.
Students may audition if they wish to take any class in their age group for which they have not completed the prerequisites. At the audition, students will be asked to demonstrate the skills appropriate to the class. Acting II: Present a memorized monologue one minute long. Musical Revue: Sing a prepared song, with or without recorded accompaniment. We do not provide a piano accompanist for Musical Revue auditions. Long-Form Improv: We provide some improv exercises at the audition. Comedy Troupe: We teach and ask you to demonstrate some safe physical comedy moves at the audition. General Auditions for the 2019-2020 SeasonSCT holds auditions for its Mainstage Season by appointment only. We hold a general audition every spring to meet actors who are new to town or have not auditioned at SCT in the past. The application deadline for the 2019 general auditions has passed. Please check back in early 2020 for information about next year’s generals.
