Class Description:

From pratfalls and lazzi (comic bits based on Commedia dell'arte) to exaggerated facial and physical reactions, hilarity is bound to ensue in this comedy class. We'll develop our own comic bits, create characters, and stretch our newfound skills to bring down the house!

Class Description:

Every great story begins with a hero and in this class, that hero is you! Working together as an ensemble, students will dream up original worlds, create bold characters, and craft an all-new play inspired by the Hero’s Journey. Using their actor’s toolkit (body, voice, and imagination) young artists will collaborate to shape a story full of adventure, courage, and transformation. No script? No problem. We’ll build it together, one creative idea at a time!

Class Description:

Bring your best punchlines and hone your humor in this camp filled with improvisation, creative exploration, and collaboration. Students work as an ensemble to write, workshop, and present their own original sketch comedy scenes. Live from Seattle, it's SCT!

Ages/Grades: Ages 11-14

Class Description:

Put your acting tools into action! Building on the foundations of Actor’s Toolkit and Character Lab, students will apply their skills to scripted scenes and one-act plays. Working collaboratively with our teaching artists, young actors will explore how objectives, relationships, and emotional connection bring stories to life onstage.

While this class is designed for students who have completed earlier levels, it’s also a great fit for those with prior acting experience who are ready to dive straight into scene work. Each session of Actor’s Toolkit: Scene Study Showcase offers new challenges and activities, so students can take this class multiple times as they continue to build confidence in their craft. The session culminates in a studio showcase for families and friends to celebrate the ensemble’s work and creative growth.
