Adrienne Dillard-Coons Drama School Policies
Our Education Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM–5:00PM or during any educational evening and Saturday class programming. You can reach our team via email at dramaschool@sct.org or by phone at 206.859.4079.
The following policies outline enrollment, tuition, safety, and participation guidelines that help us maintain a safe, consistent, and welcoming learning environment for all students and families. SCT reserves the right to modify policies as needed.
- Registrations are processed in the order received. Enrollment is accepted as long as space is available or until the second class meeting, whichever comes first.
- Online camp registration closes at 5:00PM on the business day before the program begins. We are unable to process registrations outside of business hours. If you wish to register after that time, please call or email our office and wait for confirmation before bringing your student to camp.
- If you register online, a receipt will be emailed within 15 minutes. If you register by phone or email, a receipt will be sent by the end of the business day.
- We maintain waitlists for full classes. When space becomes available, families are contacted in the order registrations were received. Placement from the waitlist is not guaranteed.
- At the time of registration, families must complete the SCT Media Release and Emergency Treatment/Liability Waiver for each student. This agreement only needs to be completed once and does not expire. Updates to media permissions or medical information may be submitted at any time by emailing our office.
- By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all policies and terms on this page.
- Tuition reserves your student’s space for the full session and is not prorated. We do not provide partial refunds or credits for missed classes or camp days due to illness, scheduling conflicts, personal circumstances, or removal due to illness, safety, or behavioral concerns.
- A non-refundable registration fee equal to 20% of tuition is included in the total cost. This fee secures your student’s place in the program and supports advance staffing, space reservations, and administrative planning. For this reason, it is non-refundable.
- Tuition must be paid in full at registration unless a payment plan has been arranged.
- Payment plans are available to all families and may divide tuition into two to four installments. Families may select four equal installments during online checkout or contact our office to arrange a different schedule prior to the start of the program.
- Financial assistance is available for qualifying families. To learn more about eligibility and how to apply, please visit our Financial Assistance page.
- Cancelations made at least 14 calendar days before the program begins will receive a refund of tuition minus the non-refundable 20% registration fee. Cancelations refer to withdrawing from the full session prior to its start and do not apply to individual absences.
- Cancelations made fewer that 14 calendar days before the start date are not eligible for a refund. However, tuition paid (excluding the registration fee) may be issued as a credit toward future Adrienne Dillard-Coons Drama School tuition or Seattle Children’s Theatre Mainstage tickets through the end of the current season.
- If SCT cancels a class or camp, all tuition paid, including the registration fee, will be refunded in full.
- If, after attending the first class meeting, you determine the program is not the right fit, please notify us before the second class. Tuition will be refunded minus the registration fee. After the second class meeting, tuition is non-refundable.
- No refunds or make-up classes are provided for weather-related closures. SCT follows Seattle Public Schools’ weather closure decisions.
- Transfers are permitted pending availability.
- Requests made more than 14 calendar days before the program begins may be processed without an additional registration fee. Transfers requested fewer than 14 calendar days before the start date will incur a new non-refundable registration fee equal to 20% of tuition.
- To help protect students and staff with severe nut allergies, we ask families not to send food containing nuts or nut-based products to class or camp.
- If your student has a severe food allergy and requires accommodations, please contact dramaschool@sct.org prior to the start of the program.
- Students are expected to participate safely and respectfully. If repeated behaviors compromise the safety or learning of themselves or others, SCT may determine that the program is not the right fit and may remove a student at its discretion.
- Bullying, harassment, or threatening behavior toward peers or staff will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the program.
- Students must remain with their assigned group and within supervised areas at all times. Attempts to leave supervised spaces or campus boundaries may result in immediate dismissal for safety reasons.
- To protect the health of our students and staff, students should not attend class or camp if they are experiencing symptoms of illness, including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, lice, or other contagious conditions.
- Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication before returning to class. If a student becomes ill during the program day, families will be contacted and expected to pick up their student promptly.
- Tuition is not prorated for absences or removal due to illness or safety concerns.
- Regular attendance supports a positive and collaborative learning experience. Because our curriculum builds class to class and staffing is scheduled in advance, we do not offer make-up classes for missed days.
- Missed classes or camp days are not eligible for refunds, credits, or tuition adjustments.
- For the safety and focus of all students, all registered participants may remain in the classroom during class time unless otherwise arranged for accessibility needs.
- At dismissal, students will only be released to authorized adults listed in their registration account. Families will be required to present a designated pick-up code (kidcode) or identification.
- Please notify our Education Office in advance if someone not listed on your account will be picking up your student. That person must have the designated kidcode.
- SCT follows Seattle Public Schools’ weather-related closure decisions. If Seattle Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, SCT classes and camps will also be canceled.
- No refunds or make-up classes are provided for weather-related closures.
- In the event of other emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, families will be notified as soon as possible using the contact information provided at registration.
