The coldest season can bring the warmest memories

Young Ellen can’t wait for winter. From skating on frozen streams to parties on an icy lake, winter brought friends, family, and fun together, creating memories that never leave her.

In this cozy wintertime play at Seattle Children’s Theatre, based on the award-winning book by Ellen Bryan Obed, Twelve Kinds of Ice sees an adult Ellen sharing stories from her winters in Maine and how she learned that anything is possible with practice and care. Featuring live music on piano and guitar, Ellen looks back at her childhood on the ice, and sees herself reflected back.
