Heart of Washington Food Donation Drive

During the run of The Pigeon Gets a Big Time Holiday Extravaganza! SCT will be accepting food donations as a part of WashMasks Mutual Aid Heart of Washington food drive.

Heart of Washington is WashMasks’ annual fall donation drive that aims to demonstrate gratitude, care, and community joy to the farmworkers and their communities in Washington. During the coldest and darkest part of the year, we invite our urban communities to show up for the rural communities that feed us all. We hope to bring 50 (or more!) cultural food boxes to the towns Mount Vernon, Sunnyside, Wenatchee, and Ephrata.

WashMasks is a grassroots organization with an all-volunteer team consisting of artists, classroom teachers, public school administrators, and the extended arts community from across Washington State. The communities we work with deserve support, dignity, and advocacy. WashMasks works to provide care, creative joy, and community to Washington farmworkers, their families, and other BIPOC rural communities.
