Planning Your Field Trip
Need more information before deciding? Already submitted your field trip request form? We know that there are many factors that go into planning your field trip. Check out the info below to help you better plan your students' field trip experience.
To request a field trip, please fill out and submit the form linked below. Once we've received your form, our School Show Manager will book a show date for you based on your request and show availability (we process requests in the order they are received). Once your group has been booked into a show, you'll receive a confirmation email with all of your booking information. Please note that this process can take up to two weeks when demand is high; please be patient as we diligently work to create the best experience for your school's visit to SCT. If you have any questions, or need to make a change to an order you've submitted, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event that the show you've requested is sold out, or if the specific dates, days, or times aren't available, our School Show Manager will add you to our waitlist, and will send you a confirmation email. Waitlists are processed in the order that the requests are received. We will email you if your class is released from the waitlist and has been booked into a show.
Who Needs A Ticket
Every human over 12 months old who is attending the performance with your group NEEDS a ticket. This includes teachers, chaperones, students, aids, bus drivers, etc. Please include the full total of every person involved in your initial order (we recommend that you estimate on the high end: it's much easier for us to subtract seats than it is to add them!) This ensures that we have a physical seat in our theatre available for each person. NOTE: The deadline for lowering ticket count request is 4 weeks prior to the reserved performance. At that time, the reservation ticket count is final.

How to Pay Payment can be made via credit card, check, or district purchase order. If you'd like to pay over the phone, please call our School Show Manager directly at 206.441.9244. Checks can be mailed to Seattle Children’s Theatre, Attn: Darioush Mansourzadeh, 201 Thomas Street, Seattle, WA 98109. If you are paying with a district purchase order, we ask for a copy of the approved purchase order by the payment deadline for your reservation. We understand that payment will come after the show date. Payment or a copy of the approved district purchase order need to be submitted one month prior to the scheduled performance.
Ticket Pricing For SCT school show field trips, there is one ticket price (regardless of the ticket holder's age). Anyone over the age of 12 months must have their own ticket. Tickets are $13 each for The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Velveteen Rabbit, and Balloonacy. Tickets are $15 each for And In This Corner: Cassius Clay, The Mysterious Journey of Edward Tulane, and The Diary of Anne Frank.
Scholarships/Financial assistance At SCT, we are committed to making live theatre accessible to all children regardless of financial circumstances. We offer scholarships to schools with low income/ high free and reduced lunch populations. If a scholarship is awarded for your field trip, a certain percentage of the total tickets will have costs covered completely, lowering the total cost of the entire order (not altering the price of an individual ticket).
Cancellation Policies/ Altering a Registration The deadline for canceling your order or lowering a ticket request is 4 weeks prior to the reserved performance. After that time, the ticket count on your reservation may be increased depending show availability, but may not be decreased. You are financially responsible for your reserved tickets. If you would like to add tickets to your order, please contact our school show manager. Full payment is due 4 weeks before your performance date. Unfortunately, if payment is not received by that date, your reservation will be automatically canceled, and you are financially responsible for your reserved tickets.
