Class Description:

Take your place center stage and build on the fundamentals of musical theatre! In this next-level class, students will strengthen their vocal technique, expand their movement vocabulary, and deepen their storytelling skills through ensemble work. Together, we’ll rehearse musical numbers from Broadway favorites, exploring harmony, character motivation, and expressive movement.

While this class is designed for students who have attended Musical Theatre: Foundations, it’s also open to those with prior musical theatre experience who are ready to step into the spotlight. This process-based class celebrates collaboration and the joy of performing together. Each time is different, so take this class as many times as you like until you’re ready for the next step in your musical theatre journey!

Class Description:

Young Actor Institute is SCT's highest level of performance training, preparing students for the world of professional musical theatre. These camps, taught by professional working artists, dive deeply into a variety of specialized performing arts disciplines. Students train intensively for the week to explore their own identities as performers, while YAI faculty work together to develop an integrated curriculum that challenges and supports each student through a daily session in Choreography, Music, and Storytelling. The program culminates in a studio showcase on the last day of camp for families and friends to see!
