AUDITIONS FOR THE PERFORMANCE LAB SERIES AND SCT MAINSTAGE
Any student interested in participating in The Performance Lab Series is invited to audition. Performance Lab Auditions will be held in seven-minute slots. Any student who auditions for The Performance Lab Series will also be considered for SCT’s 2020|2021 Mainstage Season. This year, The Performance Lab Series will include 5 shows for grades ranging from 4th and up.
Student actors will need to present a monologue approximately one minute in length. Those who would like to be considered for a musical will also prepare 16–32 bars of a musical theatre song (usually a verse and a chorus) and will bring appropriate sheet music for the accompanist, if possible. If you are in need of a monologue or a song, click the link below for a packet of suggestions.
Students will have the opportunity to list conflicts and show preferences during audition sign-up. All students who audition will also receive information on the classes they are eligible to take based on both their audition and experience.
SCHEDULING YOUR AUDITION
Audition sign-ups are entirely online to allow for a flexible and more convenient experience. General and musical theatre auditions will take place concurrently. Actors have the option to select either a general or musical theatre audition slot and should sign up for one slot. Those who would like to be considered for both should sign up for a musical theatre audition. Only musical theatre audition slots will have an accompanist present.
Please look over the times listed here and click below to secure your spot. Audition slots fill up quickly—sign up early to ensure a time that works with your schedule.
