Hi! I’m Asha Navaratnasingam. I have loved theatre ever since I was little, and the stage is like my second home. For me, the most important aspect of theatre is its way to teach lessons to the audience through the art of story. In the Teens in Action Group, I hope to employ my passion to spread awareness about social justice issues and create change in the world. When I’m not in theatre, I love writing, spending time with friends, and baking. In my less productive down time, you can also find me on my bed scrolling through social media, and fangirling over books. Thank you all for reading, and I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing group!

He/Him | The Downtown School | Seattle, WA
Hello, my name is Jetson. I am excited to be a part of the SCT TAG 2021-22 cohort. I was born in downtown Seattle where I still live today with my parents and dog Coco. I have lived downtown my whole life and am currently a sophomore at The Downtown School. DTS has a ‘City as Classroom’ approach which resonates with me, my interests, and my learning style. I’m active in my school and the wider community. At DTS, I’m on the Student Leadership team for both DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and QSA (Queer Straight Alliance). In Seattle, I volunteer at multiple non-profits in health & human services to living museums. And last year during the start of the pandemic, I contributed to the street art campaign in Belltown expressing positive messages and community perseverance in this challenging time. Besides being an advocate and social activist especially around gender diversity, I enjoy camping, cooking, drawing/painting, video games, and skateboarding
