Dramashops

"As a result of participating in the Dramashop, my students had a much greater understanding of and connection to the play we saw." - 5th grade teacher in Seattle

What are dramashops? A store where you buy drama?

Education

A Dramashop is an exciting interactive drama-workshop. Dramashops explore the themes, characters, historical context, and production elements of all Seattle Children's Theatre Mainstage productions. Professional teaching artists work with students for an action-packed hour, fleshing out themes and ideas through dynamic theatre exercises. Dramashops can occur either before or after the play, and can be held at SCT or at your location. Students get on their feet in these participatory workshops, stretching their imaginations while learning about the play.

Each show in the Seattle Children's Theatre season has its own customized Dramashop that uses curriculum drawn from that specific production and focuses on connecting the show to existing classroom curriculum.

Cost
