In 1778, France is on the brink of revolution. The people are desperate, ready to break and seek justice where they may. They strive to find a unifying identity, something that will gird them against the cruelty of the noble class until the moment of their uprising. Families become embroiled in battles for vengeance, and one man’s act of self-sacrifice reminds us all what true nobility and true liberty really mean.

A Note from the Artistic Director: This Charles Dickens classic reminds us, in today’s selfish and insular culture, how imperative it is that we present our kids with heroic role-models, people from whom we can all learn about honor, loyalty, and bravery.
