SCT Drama School Interns

Sara Albertson is a 2018 grad at St. Olaf college majoring in Psychology and Theater with a concentration in Management. She has done theater since she was five years old and fell in love. Growing up she has attended many shows at Seattle Children's and is very excited to have the opportunity to be back at the theater. In her free time, she loves to play intramural volleyball and go on day adventures with her friends. She is looking forward to starting her career in theater to help youth build autonomy through the arts!

Reilly Conlon is ecstatic to be joining the SCT drama school internship program this summer! She will graduate with her degrees in Educational Theatre and Secondary Language, Literature and Writing from Eastern Michigan University this December. Reilly has been a part of the educational theatre scene as a performer, stage manager, choreographer, director and teaching artist for the past twelve years. Her favorite directing/choreography credits include Bring it On! The Musical, A Chorus Line, and Falsettos. Currently, she works as the Associate Artistic Director and co-founder of Horizon Performing Arts, an educational theatre nonprofit in Ann Arbor, MI. She is so excited to soak up all the knowledge SCT has to offer and to go on this wonderful journey this summer!

Sarah Daniels is thrilled to be working with Seattle Children’s Theatre! She is currently a first year theatre major at Cornish College of the Arts. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Sarah has been living in Seattle for a little under a year now and loves the thriving art and theatre scene!

Emma Hunt is thrilled to be back at SCT, having been inspired to pursue theatre professionally after years of attending shows here as a kid! She is theatre major at Northeastern University in Boston with an interest in directing and stage management, though she has enjoyed practicing a wide variety of theatrical skills while in college. Last summer she was the director of the Kirkland Parks & Rec summer camp and she has spent years volunteering as a student mentor and as a stage manager for elementary school theatre, and she is overjoyed to be combining her passion for education with her love for theatre at Drama School this summer!

Leah Jarvik is a rising senior at Haverford College, PA, where she is completing a double major in theatre and English. She is foremost an actor, but also has experience with theatre management, directing, and teaching. Having grown up in Seattle, Leah has been involved with numerous Seattle based theatre organizations including SCT Drama School, YAI, YATC, 14/48:HS, and P3 East. She is so excited to return to SCT this summer as an intern and couldn't be happier to be part of the drama school/summer season team!

Mikko Juan is a recent graduate of the University of Washington's Musical Theater Program. He has since been working as a professional actor all around the Seattle area. He's very excited to begin his journey as a teaching artist at the very theater that sparked his interests in exploring this pathway!

Abbey Kincheloe is a sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University, getting her BFA in Theatre Performance and her minor in Creative Writing. She got the theatre bug in second-grade and hasn’t been able to (or wanted to) get away from it. She loves many things, but most importantly she loves her family, her friends, mashed potatoes, and her kitten, Caliban.

 Kraemer  Jessie  Headshot  200   Jessie Kraemer graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University where she studied acting and creative writing, and worked in Richmond as an active member of its theater community. Newly out of school, she has continued acting, (most recently as Esther in Theatrelab's production of Dry Land), while also exploring directing, writing, and teaching English and theater abroad.
 Larson  Michael  Headshot  200   Michael Larson is a junior Theatre Education major at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He is also a Stage Manager in the Theatre department and originally from McAllen, Texas. Some of his hobbies include reading plays, Rupaul's Drag Race, Buzzfeed unsolved, cooking, baking, hanging with friends, watching all types of movies, playing piano, and listening to music. Michael’s final goal in life is to either be a high school theatre teacher, to work at a professional Theatre company, or to be a traveling tutor (child wrangler) for touring shows or professional theatres. He is very excited to be working with everyone at this wonderful institution. 
 Miller  Courtney  Headshot  200   Courtney Miller is a Montana native who is currently attending college in Grand Forks, ND at the University of North Dakota where she is pursuing dual degrees in both Elementary Education and a BA in Acting and Directing. She's been involved in the performing arts from a very young age, and was originally was trained in classical ballet before discovering her love and passion for theatre arts in high school. She has since performed in a wide variety of musicals and plays, and has explored technical areas, serving as Props Master, Lighting Crew, Scenic Painter, Wardrobe Head and Dresser. In the future, she would like to use her degrees in both education and theatre and become a teaching artist at a children's theatre company. When Courtney isn't at the theatre, she enjoys spending time reading and writing plays, gardening, and spending time with her cat Phoebe. 
 Raker  Meagan  Headshot  200   Meagan Raker grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts and graduated from Princeton University in 2018 with a degree in History and minors in Theater and Music Theater. Some of Meagan's favorite roles have included Wendy in Peter Pan, Mary Warren in The Crucible, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. She is so excited to be coming to Seattle this summer - her first time on the West Coast! Having done theater since elementary school, Meagan can't wait to share a love of the performing arts with the students at the Drama School.
 Schonfeld  Izzy  Headshot  200   Izzy Schonfeld is so excited to be a part of the 2018 SCT Drama School team! Izzy is a recent graduate of Hope College in Holland, MI with a BA in theatre and philosophy. She is passionate about developing new work in theatre that can make a difference in society by raising relevant questions and creating dialogue. In her free time, she loves cooking and baking from scratch, watching TED Talks, and finding unexplored areas in nature. Izzy is really looking forward to a summer of creating theatre with other passionate artists.

Brianna Smart is beyond thrilled to be working with the team at Seattle Children’s Theatre! A Knoxville, Tennessee native, Brianna attends school at Middle Tennessee State University, where she is currently working on her Theatre degree with a focus in performance and directing for young audiences. She has had the tremendous opportunity to work with companies like Florida Repertory Theatre as a teaching artist for Camp Mini Stars, and the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts as an Asst. Director and counselor. Brianna loves collaborating with friends, playing four-square, and the color green!

Sydney Thieme is a Seattle local who grew up seeing performances at SCT. She studied dance at Barnard College for three years and has been a teaching artist and choreographer at Youth Theatre Northwest since graduating high school in 2013. She is currently studying Stage Management at Cornish College of the Arts, and hopes to pursue a career stage management, in addition to teaching and choreographing.

Emma DeMaris is a senior at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa where she is completing a BA in Theatre. Her focus is on marketing and arts administration and she serves as the Publicity Director for the University's Theatre and Dance Association and the student run Late Night Theatre Company. Also an actor, she was most recently seen in a run at Late Night of Almost, Maine.  Emma is excited to spend the summer in Seattle and is honored to work with all the amazing people at SCT! 

 Perez  Dejan  Headshot  200   Dejan Perez is currently a sophomore at Pacific Lutheran University, double-majoring in English, with an emphasis in Poetry Writing, and Women's & Gender Studies. Born and raised in a small town on the Island of Hawaii, Dejan is learning about the Pacific-Northwest and making it her new home. She enjoys eating pastries, comparing lived experiences with others, and trying to live her life in alignment with her values. Dejan joins SCT this summer with the hopes of providing additional administrative support to allow others to enact their dreams on and off-stage. Pronouns: She/Her

Technical and Summer Season Interns




 Allen  Olivia  Headshot  200   Olivia Allen, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, is a BFA Directing Major at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia. Some of her favorite directing credits include No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre and Ascension Day by Timothy Mason. She’ll be directing State Fair on E&H’s main stage next spring for her Senior Capstone project. She is absolutely thrilled to be interning with SCT this summer and working with all of the students.
    Lia Chapman is so excited to be a stage management intern at Seattle Children’s Theatre this summer! She is currently a junior at Syracuse University, where she is pursuing a BFA in Stage Management, along with a minor in Educational Studies. Favorite SM/ASM credits include King Lear, Evita (Interlochen Presents); Laura and the Sea, Fly More than You Fall (Syracuse University); The Wizard of Oz, Bank of America Children’s Tour: Metamorphan (Syracuse Stage).
 Cordova  Kyle  Headshot  200   Kyle Cordova has been heavily involved in theatre for the past seven years. He is currently about to enter his third year at the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Theatrical Direction and Design. Kyle has worked on a number of shows doing everything from acting, directing, designing and technician work. He is extremely excited and honored to be here working at Seattle Children's Theatre for the summer!
 Eisner  Tyler  Headshot  200   Tyler Eisner started his career in the theater in the lights at the young age of 11 working on several shows at the Mercer Island JCC. At Roosevelt high school Tyler transitioned backstage and began working on props and costumes. Now in college he is majoring in prop design for film and theater and is active in many theater organizations on campus. 
 Goetz  Sapphire  Headshot  200   Originally from Missouri, Sapphire Goetz graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, and is a graduate of Broadway Dance Center’s Summer Professional Semester (NYC). Goetz has performed with Village Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, and 5th Avenue Theatre as well as in numerous concert works at Cornish College. Her choreography has been performed in both Seattle and Missouri and includes her dancers encompassing a diverse range of characters ranging from rock stars and robots. Her more recent choreography was seen at the Hi-Liners Musical Theatre as well as the Seattle Center where she premiered a show choir on the Armory Stage. As a teacher, Goetz focuses her classes in ballet technique, musical theatre, show choir and contemporary. When not performing or choreographing, you can find her thrifting, eating pasta, or reading the latest book on cryptozoology. 
 Latham  Maggie  Headshot  200   Maggie Latham is a rising senior at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where she is receiving a BFA in Stage Management. She is so honored to be working as a stage management intern for Seattle Children’s Theatre. She would like to thank Jen Hart, her family, and her dog Nemo.
 Leigh  Samantha  Headshot  200   Samantha Leigh is currently a sophomore at Pennsylvania State University pursuing a B.F.A. in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in Scenic Design. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, she attended Las Vegas Academy of the Arts for high school studying Technical Theatre. Over the past six years, Samantha has worked in scenic painting, design, and construction. She excited to get the opportunity to spend her summer in Seattle to study her field.
 Mac Lean  Ally  Headshot  200   Ally MacLean is excited to be working with Seattle Children’s Theatre as the Stage Manager of Lookingglass. They are a rising Senior BFA Stage and Production Management major at Emerson College in Boston, MA. Professional credits include Shakespeare in Love (SM Intern) at SpeakEasy Stage Company and Fingersmith (Child Wrangler) at the American Repertory Theater. Recent credits at Emerson include Pride and Prejudice (ASM), Still Life With Iris (Stage Manager), Getting Out (2nd ASM), Yo, Vikings! (Stage Manager), and Woe Be Gone (Production Assistant). Love in TYA to their mother at home in New Jersey, their ΣΡΜ and ΑΦΩ families, and academic advisor Deb Acquavella in Boston!
 Margos  Jenifer  Headshot  200   Jeni Margos is a third-year undergraduate costume design major from the University of Texas at Austin. She was the costume designer for Urinetown (APO) and “Daring Greatly” in Transcendence (UT), assistant costume designer for Drowsy Chaperone(UT) and Spring Awakening (UTG), stitcher for Transcendence (UT), and wardrobe supervisor for UT New Theatre 2018.

Lauren Porter is a rising Junior working towards her BFA in Sound Design from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She grew up in Redmond, and graduated from Juanita High School. Previous productions at DePaul include The Witness, 52-Hertz, and Dying City

Trusty  Shay  Headshot  200    Shay Trusty graduated from Southern Illinois Edwardsville in 2016, and immediately moved out to Seattle to start their theatre career. Seattle stage managing credits include Private Lives, and Little Shop of Horrors with Reboot Theatre Co. Anything Goes with WPP, and Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor with ActLab. They were also a part of Intiman's Emerging Artist Program last summer. Shay loves the creative energy youth bring to the stage, and cannot wait to work on Rent this summer!

Anna Vizzare is thrilled to be working on Seussical! Anna has spent the majority of her life as a performer in the Seattle area. She is a member of the University of Washington Musical Theatre class of 2019. Some of Anna’s favorite past roles include Peter Pan (“Peter Pan”, Kitsap Forest Theater), (Wo)Man 1 (“Kiss Me Kate”, Seattle Musical Theater), and Silly Girl (“Beauty and the Beast”, Edmonds Driftwood Players). Anna has also enjoyed stage managing/assistant directing the shows at St. Anne School for the past two years! She is so excited to be spending her first summer at SCT!
